i’ve decided to write most of my future posts in english, being the fact that 2/3 of my visitors are from non-german-speaking countries. that’s why i’m also also translating my diploma thesis, for everyone who’s interested.
furthermore, as of today there is no registration needed to post comments.
it’s always hard for me to find the proper sequence of items in a list, so i had the idea of creating this kind of visualisation where you can switch between the different versions of the index, adjusted to the needs of the viewer. all the items on the same hierarchy, are arranged on the vertical axis with a specific distance according to a given or measured value, which leads to another chart, mapping for example the hits of a page or it’s rating.
this was actually the first prototype for the menu and the information management on my flash homepage. unfortunately i never adopted this idea, due to the fact that every update of this site would takes a hugh amount of time. but i still think it’s a very nice and neat way to show the structure of a menu or some linked sites.
while i’m looking for an interesting job in information and interaction design, after i’ve finished all my projects in the past, i’ve just started to think about a new project dealing with peoples identity on the internet and in online communities.
so during my research i’ve found some interesting sites like dripbook and designklicks and published some of my recent work in these communities. furthermore you can also see my curriculum vitae on xing. well, let’s wait for the feedback.
by the way, if you’re ever in munich, check out the missing image movie archive and dvd-rental store. this is a great place to get hard to find movies.
